New Release: She's His Drug, He's Her Thug 3

I'm thrilled to say that She's His Drug, He's Her Thug 3 has finally been released!

Needless to say, I'm incredibly excited about being able to publish the third book in the series. It seems as though readers really like the characters, so I'm happy to continue telling their stories (as well as introducing a few new ones).

This one was a lot of fun to write. (Actually, they all are.) Continuing the story of Mika and Kane is much like visiting with old friends and catching up on what they've been doing. Hopefully readers will feel the same way.

As for what's next on the horizon in terms of writing, there's a character that's introduced in this book who I think might deserve to headline their own book or series. (Truth be told, there are a couple of characters in this series that I'd like to do more with.)

Finally, bearing in mind that the holidays are practically upon us, if you're looking for gift ideas - and would like to help out a budding college entrepreneur - here are a couple of items you might consider from a college freshman I know (who also asked me to emphasize that she's broke, LOL):

Update on She's His Drug, He's Her Thug 3

Hi, all!  It's been a minute since I posted, so I figured an update on Book 3 was overdue.  First though, I have to say that I'm extremely happy with the way readers have taken to the first two books. Writing really is hard work, so every time I finish a chapter, a paragraph - even a sentence! - it seems like a major milestone. That being the case, it's really gratifying to see readers enjoying my work.

Anyway, I'm still working hard on the third book in the series and hoping I can publish it in October.  Hopefully readers will like it just as much as the first two. (Which is something that makes me nervous - apparently  I have expectations to live up to now, LOL!)

Also, I'm still focused on getting these titles made into audiobooks. That's an entirely different market, but hopefully listeners will have the same response to my work as readers.  Keep your fingers crossed...

"She's His Drug, He's Her Thug" on Sale for 99 Cents!

As many of you know, I recently published She's His Drug, He's Her Thug 2.

In celebration of that release, I've put the first book in the series on sale for 99 cents!

Yes - all this week you can pick up a copy of She's His Drug, He's Her Thug for less than a dollar!

Needless to say, I'm excited about making the book available at this sale price for those who may not have had an opportunity to  try it yet.

Hopefully those who do will find it a fun read and be willing to give Book 2 a try.

Now, of course, I'm putting a significant amount of energy into Book 3. Frankly speaking, bearing everything that's happened to the characters thus far, it's the story line I've been most looking foward to writing. (Basically, I have a lot of ideas about this one, so we'll see how it goes.)

Thanks again to all the readers who have been supporting me on this journey. It means a lot to me to know that readers are enjoying my work, so many thanks, and I'll show my appreciation my getting the next book out as soon as possible.

"She's His Drug, He's Her Thug 2" Just Published!

I'm super exited to share the news that She's His Drug, He's Her Thug 2 has just been released!

Of course, I'm thrilled at the reception that the first book received and hope to keep the party going with this sequel.

As before, writing these characters was a lot of fun, and hopefully readers will enjoy the direction that the storyline goes in this one.

I actually published earlier today and expected the Kindle version to be ready before now.  Oddly enough, the print version became available first, which typically doesn't happen.

Regardless, I'm simply happy that both versions are now available, although they aren't linked yet.  (For those interested, you can currently find the print version here.)

Needless to say, there will be a third book in the series. Hopefully readers are looking forward to reading it as much as I'm looking forward to writing it.

Update on Book release

So I released She's His Drug, He's Her Thug a little over a week ago, and I'm happy to report that the book is doing well, as evidenced by this recent ranking:

Amazon Best Sellers Rank: #8,119 Paid in Kindle Store (See Top 100 Paid in Kindle Store)

In short, my book broke into the Top 100 in one of its categories on Amazon! Hooray!!!

For me, seeing my book rank along with some of the best in the genre matters a lot.  Urban fiction is a fiercely competitive category, so breaking into the top 100 is a feat unto itself.

Needless to say I'm flattered. It's probably too soon to say that the book has found an audience, but people are obviously reading it (and hopefully enjoying it). I'm just hoping that the good news continues - and compounds!

Anyway, I anticipate releasing the sequel around mid-March, so I'd better get back to work on that. My thanks to everyone for supporting my writing efforts.

My Novel is Published!

So it took a few days longer than anticipated, but my debut novel - She's His Drug, He's Her Thug - has just been released!

Needless to say, I'm incredibly excited. My hope (of course) is that the book does well and is embraced by readers, but only time will tell.

Naturally, this means the start of an exciting new chapter for me (no pun intended) in terms of my writing.  I've already got the next two books in the series kind of laid out in my brain, and can't wait to get them out there.

Hmmm...I do notice that the page count is off.  KDP is showing the lengthof the book as 157 pages when in actuality it is 191 pages long.  My hope is that this will get fixed when the paperback comes out showing the proper page count.

Regardless, I'm far too thrilled about the release to let the incorrect page count get me down.  In fact, I'm praying that this is just the first of many in terms of book publications, so hopefully readers will get a new book from me soon.

Testing, Testing...

So this is my first blog post, and is really serving as a bit of an experiment. I'm hoping to release my first novel later today (fingers crossed), so I'm trying to make sure I've conquered this one aspect of social media.

Anyway, everything looks good so far. Now let's just hope this book launch goes well.  Wish me luck!
