So this was a new one on me:
Some prison review board wrote my publisher, essentially saying my books were banned because of my depictions of, uh...you know... S - E - X.
Yes, banned. The entire trilogy.
They even pinpointed specific pages in each book (which was laughable, because what they highlighted were some of the tamest scenes in the series). My publisher thinks it's a good thing - says it means my writing gets people HOT - and also says it's an indication that I've "arrived" because I've been censored.
Personally, being censored was never part of my game plan. I actually posted about this experience elsewhere as well, hoping to get some feedback from other authors, but no responses yet. Anyway, it's good for a laugh, I guess.
