For those who may not know, Amazon has a "Kindle Summer Rewards" program that you can use to get cash for books. Basically, when you do particular things - like buy a book - you'll receive a certain number of "Kindle Points." Every 400 points can be redeemed for $4 in ebook credits. So, it's free money, so-to-speak.
Even better, there are certain ways to accumulate points quickly. For instance, you can get 250 points for following an author on Amazon. So, by way of example, if you wanted to follow me, you'd simply go to my Amazon author page and click on the yellow "Follow" button on the left side of the page. (Following just means that Amazon will notify you when I release new books.) You can also pick up another 150 points by subscribing to the Kindle Daily Deal, and bam! Just like that - between those two actions - you've picked up 400 Kindle points (and your $4 ebook credit). In addition, you can pick up 300 points for borrowing a book that's in Amazon's Prime Reading program. As luck would have it, I just happen to have a book in Prime Reading now: She's His Drug, He's Her Thug.Needless to say, there are other ways to pick up points, but the long and short of it is that readers can easily scoop up points that will ultimately translate into credits for books. Plainly speaking, it seems like a pretty good deal.
